My work is expressive of the beauty I find in everyday experience. As with any meditative practice, the interesting bits are the moments of clarity, or presence, where the busy mind falls silent and one can experience the fundamental beauty of the simplest things. I am drawn to subjects I see on my daily walks and within the walls of my home in Beacon, New York. People who view my paintings sometimes remark on the sense of stillness, peace, and warmth they impart. I am grateful for the instruction of Lee Price, who helped get me started in 2018; Ian Roberts, who taught me to draw like a painter; and Paul Foxton, who gave me the gift of the lost edge. My drawings and paintings are in private collections.
