Kayaking: ACA Kayaking--Unlimited Sessions for the Spring 2027 season. Begins May-June 2027. Our kayaking programs support both novice and experienced kayakers, and we provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets.
Age limits: The minimum age for the regular weekly kayaking programs is 13, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. ACA kayaking programs require a separate ACA membership ($40), which is good for a full year.
Newburgh Waterways Center (NWC), a 501(c)(3) organization, is reimagining waterfront programming for Newburgh area residents. The center currently hosts rowing and kayaking programs for adults and children, as well as the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (Newburgh Flotilla 10-6) and Orange County Rowing Association, creating a single destination for community access to the Hudson River.
Our programs offer opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get out on the river and enjoy the natural beauty that the Hudson Valley has to offer! Our programs are staffed by dedicated, experienced coaches, ensuring that everyone has a fun and safe experience.
An annual Newburgh Waterways Center membership ($20) is required for all participants in all our programs. Your NWC membership, which is good through December 31 of the year you enroll, puts you on our insurance roster and ensures that we have your emergency contact information.
