Toby Dunne, the author of Western Starlands, is a commercial equipment mechanic based in New York’s Hudson Valley who would rather be painting and writing and walking in the woods.

092A: Is a 5"x5" painting using found acrylic house paint on a plywood scrap using brushes found in the trash. Every aspect of Toby's paintings come from the waste stream.

A signed copy of Toby Dunn's 2024 memoir Western Starlands: "I didn’t know what I was supposed to be doing with my young life. I was nineteen, deeply spiritually conflicted, and had recently flunked out of a state vocational school. I had only made it halfway through the second semester, returning to my hometown in failure after having rashly sworn an oath before Jesus that’d I’d never return."

So begins Western Starlands, the existentialist road trip opus that will escort you to a time you’ve forgotten you’ve been missing.  Hugh Sheehy says “Here are friends like the ones you had, or like the ones you wished for. Here are places you used to know and dream about. Here’s the journey you longed to make, here’s a chance you should have taken.”
